Description: 10 Long 10"-15" ROOTED Vinca Major Periwinkle Vine Cuttings, Live Plant Starts - You will receive 10 Rooted Periwinkle Vinca Major plant cuttings, each measuring anywhere from 10 inches to 15 inches in lengths. ABOUT- Hardy evergreen vine ground cover with glossy green leaves that produces blueish-purple flowers, which bloom predominantly in late spring/early summer.- Prized by gardeners as a landscaping plant that can grow in sun or shade, spreads rapidly, thrives in dry or moist conditions, and great for erosion control.- Easy to grow in most soils and withstands shipping in most temperatures.- Left alone, it forms trailing vines; pruned, it becomes thicker and taller. PACKAGING AND UNWRAPPING: - Please make sure you unwrap your vinca as soon as you receive it. They will be tightly wrapped in plastic and tape, so I suggest using something sharp, like a box cutter to gently slice through the tape. Some leaf loss/damage may occur. Though not always necessary, you can prune many of the lower leaves off in order to direct the plants' energy into developing new growth. The mailing process stresses the plants out, so I highly recommend placing the rooted ends in water to regain some of their strength before you plant them. You can leave them in the water for as long as you want, as long as you change the water frequently. - To keep shipping costs low, I bundle the vinca vines and place their roots in a plastic bag filled with some wet soil, which is then secured tightly with tape. Then, I thoroughly wet the vinca vines with water, and I wrap them tightly in plastic, which I secure with tape. After that, I package them in a cardboard box that I tailor make to fit around the wrapped vinca bundle. *** If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me.
