The result is the globe hanging by the chains and shielding the bulb light. This style is known as "candlewick" and is often associated with the Imperilites manufacturing company. This round globe measures about 10 1/4" across and is about 4" tallThe item weighs about 2 pound and 8 ounces. This is a clear glass globe with embossed floral designs, the central portion of the shade is painted an almond color There are three small holes in the glass, produced by the manufacturer, so the shade can hang as described above.Although the central portion is painted, the center bottom and a potion of the upper rim are clear, but these clear areas have an embossed floral pattern. There seems to be absolutely no damage to the glass or even the exterior paint, this piece is as close to flawless as you can get.It is a very beautiful, elegant and unique item.
