A combined French and Venetian force under Odet de Foix, Vicomte de Lautrec, was decisively defeated by an Imperial–Spanish and Papal army under the overall command of Prospero Colonna. Lautrec then withdrew from Lombardy, leaving the Duchy of Milan in Imperial hands.Originally organized by Emperor Maximilian I and Georg von Frundsberg, the "Landsknecht" formed the bulk of the Holy Roman Empire's Imperial Army from the late 1400s to the early 1600s, fighting in the Habsburg-Valois wars, the Habsburg-Ottoman wars, and the European wars of religion. The Billingsgate was known as good and sometimes gruesome soldiers. When they were not paid well enough they easily started to loot. Lansquenet is an archaic variant of Landsknecht. Lansquenet is a banking game played with cards, named after the French spelling of the German word "Landsknecht" (servant of the land, or country); the lansquenet drum is a type of field drum used by these soldiers."Series 77 Miniatures" was founded by Pat Bird and John Tassel to produce 77mm size miniatures (hence the company name); with their only fantasy line released around November 1979. John, however, decided to leave Series 77 to devote full time to the now world-famous Lassett Miniatures. In the early 1990s, Pat Bird decided to retire and sold the company however the new management were unable to make the business a success.Your shipment will arrive via USPS Priority Mail (1-4 business days), USPS Ground Advantage (2-5 business days), or UPS Ground Saver (1-6 business days), after the 2-3 day processing time (upon paid purchase)Shipment(s) sent out of Lemon Grove, California, USAWill be packed very well - READ OUR FEEDBACK!No Returns ***AN INVOICE WILL BE SENT AFTER PURCHASE, WHICH MAY REFLECT A MORE ACCURATE POSTAGE RATE FOR THIS ITEM - DON'T PASS THIS UP YET!
