Description: This is an old New York Circuit Court document, dated July 3, 1838. The document is concerned with a case from New York County. This document is partly printed and partly handwritten. This document concerns a case that was held in the court of Judge Ogden Edwards (1781-1862), who at that time was Judge of the First Circuit. This document was written and signed by a clerk named W. P. Hallett. I believe that this man was William Paxson Hallett (1796-1848). The document is about 13" by 8". PLEASE NOTE: this document has a three inch tear on the right side.
