Description: Original quarter-plate daguerreotype of a displeased looking, unidentified woman. On the pad is stamped "W.H. White, Artist, Dubuque".. a studio I personally have rarely seen. The dag has been resealed with archival tape with some bits of the original seals still inside. Plate has little mold spiders and a heavy tarnish ring and a couple of very light swipes, one in the background to the left and at the very bottom inside of the tarnish ring. Both are very hard to see unless you're looking for them. Under magnification I can also see several tiny specks of green corrosion. Case is worn with separated covers and is missing the top rail on the left side.
