Description: PLEASE SCROLL DOWN TO SEE THE MANY PICTURES - Here is a rare bound volume of THE LYNN TRANSCRIPT [Massachusetts] for the first 6 months of 1883 - also over 50 pages of comic strips from 1923 and 1926, these from The Oregon Journal, Chicago Tribune and others. The 6 months of The Lynn Transcript are in good condition, no cut-outs or stains – at the end of the 6 months are over 50 loose pages, I haven’t counted, of cartoon strips from 1923 and 1926. These were stored in the back of this large volume which measures 18” x 24”. This is basically the size of the newspaper pages and the cartoon strips. Many of these strips are from LONG AGO – Bringing Up Father, Katzenjammer Kids and Little Orphan Annie are well known but I’ve snapped pics of some of the lesser known strips. The front cover is nearly detached, not quite but close - the rear is OK. All pages are subject to an occasional edge chip as would be expected - not anything unusual but this is a common flaw with ancient pulp paper. The strips are great to frame - out of a Pennsylvania estate – buyer pays 12.95 safe shipping and tracking in USA More than just a pretty picture. Try Vendio Image Hosting.
