Description: This listing is for an early bound printing of “The Night Before Christmas,” dated 1883. This printing is known for its beautiful woodcut illustrations and attractive binding, which came in several variations. This is the rarest, featuring an alligator skin cover. The book measures 6.5 x 7.5. Binding is sewn with thick glossy paper and gilt titles/page edges. At 133 years old, it is in very good condition overall. The cover shows wear, mostly around the periphery. Pages are clean and appear unread. The new owner should avoid repeated opening/closing to prevent the card-like paper and cover from breaking loose.
