The 18th c chair/sofa cover fragment , quite Rococo, 1740s, all in gros and petit point. Fabulous colors!!~ The bird is stunning, body in petit point with what I believe is a dog ready to pounce! Wool on canvas. This textile would look remarkable framed. The design elements are fabulous! ~ Please see my other textiles for matching pieces of this stunning textile MEASUREMENTS : This lovely textile measures approximately 22 inches long by 21 inches wide at the bottom and 16 inches wide at the top, 14 inches wide at the middle . CONDITION : This fragment is worn with some thread loss. There are holes a split at the top and wear. ( please use the zoom feature to view closely ) The condition commensurate with age and use.
