She is the only child who has given her own recitals for four years in New York City. Her dances being original creations unrehearsed and spontaneous. From the time she was three years old, offers were made by many sources to exploit her, and prominent people in art and society, sought to see her. This led to Studio Recitals in Carnegie Hall that gave this opportunity to many directly interested in her art. At the Maxine Elliot Theatre, Virginia Myers gave a private rehearsal for Winthrop Ames. Walter Damrosch has also seen her dance. The Edison Co. starred little Virginia in a 400 foot film called "Dream Dances" of Virginia Myers, when she was only five years old. Her annual matinees were given at The Berkeley Theatre and Carnegie Lyceum, New York City, the programme being largely classical Ruth St. Denis proclaimed her "wonderful" and Charles Donville Coburn said there had been no child like her in art She was compared to Sarah Bernhardt and Duse for her strange tragic quality, and yet she can express the very butterfly joy of childhood. Last year, Virginia gave a performance for charity at Mrs. Payne Whitney's for the ultra set and at Sherry's for a Junior League Charity. Photo measures 8 x 10 inches. Photo Is dated 1915.
