Item's Code: XR-4135 ABOUT: Collection of 12 (full year) issues of "VESTNIK VINODELIYA"- Odessa, 1915 Vasily Egorovich (Gevorkovich) Tairov (1859-1938) - Russian Armenian and Soviet scientist, professor. The doctor of agricultural sciences, winemaker and philanthropist, the founder of the first research and experimental institution in the field of viticulture and winemaking (now the National Scientific Center "VE Tairov Institute of Viticulture and Winemaking), marked the beginning of the creation of a national scientific school of viticulture and winemaking. Along with Prince Lev Golitsyn, he is considered the founder of champagne production in the Russian Empire. From 1892 he began to publish his own magazine VESTNIK VINODELIYA, which was supposed to promote the development of viticulture and winemaking. The journal published articles of prominent foreign and domestic scientists, agrarians and oenologists, with the aim of popularizing and promoting viticulture and winemaking, the magazine published a free app “VESTNIK VESTNELIKA Libraries”. Initially, the magazine was published in St. Petersburg, later, after moving to Odessa, the editorial office was located at number 19 on Kanatnaya Street, where Vasily Egorovich lived. Наравне с князем Львом Голицыным, считается основоположником шампанского производства в Российской империи. ...В Ереване с 1887 года на заводе, построенном Нерсесом Таиряном, начался выпуск крепких спиртных напитков, в том числе коньяков марки «Арарат», ставшей впоследствии визитной карточкой Армении. Открытие этого завода стало возможным во многом благодаря рекомендации Василия Таирова, данной своему двоюродному брату Нерсесу Таиряну о внедрении новых технологий в виноделии и об организации выпуска коньяков на родине в Армении...
