Description: Nice vintage 1928 copy of Hans Andersen's Fairy Tales. The book is overall in good+ condition with some signs of wear and age. The covers have some light wear. The binding is good and sound. The book is illustrated by A. Duncan Carse with 12 color plates. Most of the color plates have some very minor & light damp-staining to the bottom margin. There is a 1939 manuscript gift inscription to the front endpapers. The interior is lightly toned from age with the occasional light bit of foxing or grubbiness. One of the leaves of text has a small tear about 2 inches in length near the bottom page margin which has been neatly repaired with acid free archival tape. Along with that there may be the very occasional page with some kind of other minor imperfection such as a minor interior crack, other tiny chip or nick, creased page corner, etc. Generally though, it's a nice copy. The book measures approximately 8 1/4 inches by 6 inches and is 373 pages long. Please look at all of the photos to further note the condition.
