Description: 1929-1934 Nurse Letters of Recommendation and Thank you Letter - UNIQUE - OOAK This is a unique, one of a kind lot of letters regarding Nurse Alice Crow. There is a 3.5" x 2.5" photo of the nurse, wearing nurse uniform and nursing cap.The letters of recommendation are from Doctors in Lynchburg, Virginia (Dr. D.P. Scott and Dr. S.E. Oglesby) who stated, "Mrs. Alice Crow has done practical nursing for me and I found her satisfactory in every particular" and "...she has nursed for us in the capacity of a practical nurse and has proven quite satisfactory."There is also a third letter, from Charleston West Virginia Attorney and Counsellor at Law Edward M. The letter goes on to detail their everlasting thanks. This is a great collection and testament to a nurse in the late 1920's and 30's who not only received commendations from Doctors of the era, but the family of patients as well.
