Description: This program is in near Good Condition and contains four signatures—two each of Gaius “Gus” Shaver and Robert “Tay” Brown. Both players signed the cover along with their graduation years. Both players also signed by their pictures inside. Both players were All-Americans, Trojan Captains and helped lead their teams to National Championships (Shaver in 1931; Brown in 1931 & 1932). Both players would also later be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. We guarantee that the Gus Shaver and Tay Brown autographs will pass JSA and PSA/DNA. A copy of the general auction lot LOA or COA from JSA is included. The program has spine stresses, rusty staples, wear and incidental pen ink on page 7, but it still exhibits tremendous visual appeal. 1931 was a National Championship season for the University of Southern California and this game was won by the Trojans 6-0 over Cal (the University of California-Berkeley Golden Bears) at California Memorial Stadium on October 24, 1931.
