How Gunmen attempted Assassination - Dotted lines mark routes of two Puerto Rican revolutionaries who attempted to storm Blair House in an attempt to assassinate President Truman. One of the gunmen, Griselio Torresola, was killed as he approached (A) from the west by police gunfire from booth at right. The other gunman (B), Oscar Collazzo, fell wounded at foot of stairs (cross). President Truman peered out of the window to see what the shooting was all about but was quickly waved back by guards. One guard was killed and two were critically injured during the melee.Photo measures 7.5 x 10inches. Photo is dated 11-1-1950.
