Description: The 1972 Mason and Hamlin’s Model A, a 5-foot, 8.5-inch grand piano, is widely recognized as one of the world’s greatest grand pianos under 6 feet. The company is renowned for the beauty and character of their instruments and the Model A exemplifies this in a tone that is comparable to much larger instruments. The sound board is pristine on this Mason and Hamlin A. Because of the specialized patented tension resonator, the crown in this sound board is easy to see and its effect is easy to hear. The pedals are functioning, no squeaks or noises, and the middle pedal is a real sostenuto pedal – a feature that is only available in high-quality manufactured grand pianos. The piano’s was serviced and tuned on April 6, 2024. In summary, this 1972 Mason and Hamlin A grand is in excellent condition.
