Description: 1981-S Type 2 Proof Set All 6 Coins are Type-2. This set was hand assembled by us. Several government issued sets were broken to obtain the coins included in this set. Solid government issued sets with all 6 coins being type 2 are very rare. In the past 20 years I have only held 5-6 such sets in my hands. Most sets will only include 3 or 4 coins that are actual type 2 issues. There are also quite a few type 2 sets being offered that have been re-sealed, thankfully most are pretty easy to spot. All 6 coins in this set are guaranteed certifiable type 2 issues Type 2 Mint Marks have nothing to do with how “Clear” the S is, but rather the shape of the mint mark. The type 2 mint mark will have a “Flat Top” appearance with notably “bulbus” ends. Please look at the pictures.
