Elegant Greek style with oroplastic decoration garlands and ribbons. Green marbled pattern glass with appearance of agate stone. Lithyalin glass was developed in Bohemia by Friedrich Egermann (1777-1864). The Lithyalin glass was famous for its opaque, marbled surface resembling semiprecious stone, and was was produced in many decorative styles from 1828 to 1840s. This rare glass is definitely hard to find and is found in the most sophisticated Art Glass collections and museums as well! Found at estate sale in Paris.
