Description: A beautifully made late 19th century French mantle clock with white marble, gilt eagle finial and fine tassel and foliate ormolu, a gilt starburst pendulum, decorative gilt hands, and spherule borders around the 4 1/” diameter clock face and base. The clock is signed on the Arabic dial “Black, Starr, & Frost” (NY retailer), with Black worn off, with the full company stamp on the works. Appears to be in very good working condition with minor surface imperfections, minor edge losses, and wear commensurate with age and use. Comes with a winding key.
