2000 Gary Fisher Big Sur | Size Medium | Metallic Blue

Description: Happy 2025, everyone! Here we have a nice 2000 Gary Fisher Big Sur, size Medium, in Metallic Blue. This bike very nice shape and appears to have not spent much if any time off-road. The paint finish shines brightly and there are only a few signs of use and absolutely no dings, dents or gouges. Decals (a very cool design, see the underside of the down tube!) are complete and almost mostly undamaged, but there are a few decals that must have been scraped during storage. Really minor though! The frame material is 6061 T6 Aluminum. This frame is DISC BRAKE CAPABLE (the mounts are there) but also has cantilever brake bosses so you can go with V-brakes too, if you want. I don't see any chainsuck damage and the chainstay itself is essentially mark-free, again attesting to the light use this bike likely experienced. This bike is a size medium and has a 23.25" top tube. The head tube is 4.25" and of course takes a 1-1/8" headset. The frame requires a 31.6 mm seat post and I may still have the one that was on the bike originally. Bottom bracket spins nicely! This is a great vintage frame in excellent condition. Everything is straight and solid and ready for you to build to your specifications. Scoop this beauty up ... RIGHT NOW! I have to use new cardboard boxes from Amazon ($12-$15 each) because my local bike shops can't always provide me with boxes in the sizes I need. Smaller frames ship with forks removed (if present), rear triangle blocked with wood, and lots, lots, LOTS of crumpled up newspaper to ensure the frame doesn't move around inside. Larger frames also ship with the rear triangle blocked with wood, and with any fork still attached. I use cardboard bracing in several key spots (front and rear brake bosses, bottom bracket, rear dropouts) along with heavy-duty zip ties to ensure the frame does not move around once the box is closed.
