Description: Up for sale is one of the true 'grail' items for Pokemon merchandise; a 2001 Pokemon Center New York Magical Clock! These were sold in-person-only during the NY Pokemon Center's grand opening in 2001 in extremely limited numbers. This one has been kept in absolutely beautiful "like new" condition; it looks and functions like it was displayed on a wall for a couple of weeks a couple of decades ago and then immediately put into storage because that is pretty much what happened. I have only seen a handful of these Magical Clocks listed on eBay in the past decade that were better than "good" condition; in my opinion, one would be very hard-pressed to find one that is in better condition than the one in this listing other than finding one that is still sealed in its original box and untouched by human hands (and that is likely to be far more expensive than this). The Magical Clock in this listing: - Comes in its original box, which is in great condition! - Has a clear face with absolutely zero scratches or marks - Has hands that work normally to tell time as expected - Its center opens and closes as expected and one of the 5 melodies play as expected every hour. Zero issues and the mechanism that spins the Pokemon inside/opens and closes works perfectly (no pauses, hiccups, does not get stuck, etc. It works smoothly). - Plays all 5 melodies as expected, though it is random which one you get every hour if memory serves me correctly - Has battery covers that latch and unlatch perfectly - Has battery contacts that are pristine with absolutely zero corrosion or wear. Batteries were only ever in this clock in 2001 for a couple of weeks before they were removed and the clock put into storage (and then again for a few minutes every few years to ensure the clock's normal function). I will not ship this with batteries to lessen the risk of them bouncing around during shipping. - All buttons/the on and off switch/dial work as expected and show no signs of wear and are not loose in any way. -------Please also check the video that shows full function!
