I purchased this directly from Busse Combat at the Spring Knob Creek 2015 Show in KY! This has a SR101 Steel that is .28" thick with Black Crinkle coating with a Textured Tan Canvas Micarta Handle. If you look closely at the black coating on the head on the non logo side, there appears to be a small chip out of the black coating. This came that way from Swamp Rat and I am selling as it is. If you find it to be an issue for you, you should it back to them and covered as a warranty issue. But that will not hinder the performance of this ax! Swamp Rat Knife Works is the sister company of Busse Combat. This is made of SR101 and will carry a lifetime warranty with Swamp Rat Knife Works!
