Description: RECONDITIONED HAND WHEELS FOR VINTAGE DELTA UNISAWS AND OTHER EQUIPMENT. These hand wheels are only sold by the PAIR. These are “DELUXE hand” wheels. Much improved from the original Delta hand wheels in several ways. These hand wheels are vintage Delta parts that have been refinished and upgraded to a condition better than new and with a better spinner handle than Delta ever offered. These are the conventional Delta 7” outside diameter hand wheels with a ¾” diameter bore and 3/16’ keyway. These hand wheels were typically used on most of the Delta table saws and several other vintage machines. We start with vintage Delta hand wheels. The spinner handles are pressed out and removed. The hand wheels are then sandblasted and thoroughly inspected to insure they are free of cracks or defects, before being epoxy prime painted and then finish painted with two component PPG catalyzed light gray product. We then tap the spinner handle hole to 3/8-16 coarse thread before polishing the outside rim of the hand wheel with 120 grit sand paper on a lathe. The spinner handles we install in these handles are chrome plated steel handles with internal bearings making them much freer spinning than the two piece stock style spinner handles that need to be pressed back into the hand wheel. Our deluxe ball bearing handles have a 3/8-16 threaded boss at the base and thread into the reworked handle, rather than being press fit back into the handle. The handles are then tightened a 9/16” open end wrench. A deluxe chrome plated spinner handle is shown in the photos next to the two piece machined aluminum spinner and shaft that we also sell in another of our eBay listings. Each hand wheel includes a 5/16-18 stainless steel set screw for securing it to the ¾” diameter shaft on the machine.
