Description: This is a Gorgeous Set of (5) Cut glass plates- these are 8-7/8" wide making them a large Salad plate or a Luncheon plate size. regular salad plates are 8-1/8", these larger plates are harder to find. Measure: 8-7/8" wide rim. It is from the American brilliant period, (late 1800's to 1915) which is still over 100 years old now! Made by Hawkes around the turn of the brilliant period into the elegant era of "rock crystal cutting" styles. This is a very elegant and frilly floral called pattern no. 7375-6. It is extremely rare to find this pattern even though they made an extensive line of stems, plates, etc.Condition: This is very old antique glass. There are no chips, fleabites or cracks. There are what we call regular "usage marks" & age appropriate surface wear of light marks from utensils or washing/stacking. But they are still gorgeous with the common wear. One has a tiny dimple of debris in the rim border area from production flaw- common as well and causes no issues.
