This 3-ton workhorse served in all German theatres; it carried troops and supplies and was also used as a service vehicle for the Messerschmitt Me 323. This truck's history is somewhat controversial because of the role GM played in its development-at the time, Opel was a subsidiary of the American manufacturer.
