Description: Very interesting and unique 18th century oval brass snuff/tobacco box. Most likely made in the UK or Ireland. It features an engraving of a figure with a rifle recoiling from a snake and the words “Oh lor! here’s a norrid thing, it looks quite wenemous”. The box measures 6” long, 3 1/2” wide and 1” deep.
