Description: This is an antique embossed 1866 John Ryan Excelsior Soda Works Savannah blue bottle. It was manufactured in the civil war era, adding to its historical significance, and is a rare find for collectors of vintage mineral bottles. There is a rainbow hazing on this antique rare bottle with damage on the backside bottom seam. There is a very small chip (so small it's hard to see, but can be felt by touch) chip the lip of the bottle - I tried to identify in the photos, but it may be hard to see. The bottle has not been modified and is ready to display as is or tumble to its original brilliance. The bottle is approx. 7 inches tall with back and front embossing. It features a nice blue color with typical signs of age for bottle of its vintage. It is perfect for those who appreciate the history of bottled soda water and will be a great addition to any collection of antique bottles. Don't miss out on the opportunity to own a piece of history with this John Ryan bottle. This bottle is an estate item from my mother’s antique bottle collection; she enjoyed her special finds from bottle digs and was an active antique hunter and trader with a special focus on vintage glass items. I have several other antique bottles listed; for buyers making multiple purchases, I will package the items together and refund the difference between postage paid and the actual postage cost. B11
