Description: This is a small antique porcelain box made in Germany between 1840-1900. It is a small rectangular box that can be used for small trinkets or matches. The bottom of the lid is ribbed to strike matches on. On top of the lid is 2 moorish gentlemen with large guns kneeling and standing next to a cannon and pile of cannon balls. It is painted by hand. This would have been a prize won at the fair in victorian times. Condition is good. I did only see one obvious repaired break, but upon closer inspection, I did find a couple more. The standing man has been broken and repaired near the bottom at his feet (that's the obvious break), his gun is broken, and his head has been broken off and repaired. It is such a cool antique piece. It displays very well. There are also a few chips to the rim of the box. Please see the photos and item details for more specifics. Feel free to message me with any questions or reasonable offers. Thank you.
