Here is what the Executive Director stated about this painting. "It is impossible to know who painted the very beautiful portrait of the girl. I have found other examples of the same portrait. Yours appears to be more modern. The style and age of the other portraits (not yours yours is too new) are referred to as the Continental School of Art, which were created in the late 19thcentury. The lovely model has been repainted by several artists. It is usually titled, "Portrait of a Young Girl by Candlelight." Without the aid of knowing your artist, I would value the work at $500 - $600." Painting dimensions framed is approx. 13.25" by 18.25".
