COMICS & publisher BILL GAINES; plus the homogenized and pasteurized COMICS CODE AUTHORITY attempting to control the content in comic book publishing; and Mom was petrified that her pride and joy (ME) would become brain-washed and scatter-minded due to science fiction, horror and crime comics. Oh, well -- nice try, Mom. I have raved about these PSArtbooks reprints in the past; and I'll continue raving -- these are some of the BEST reprint editions that I've ever encountered; and Volume 1 of AUTHENTIC POLICE CASES is no exception. This volume contains complete reprint pages from issues 6 (November 1948) through 10 (December 1950), and includes stories and artwork by MATT BAKER ; RAY OSRIN ; WALTER JOHNSON ; JACK COLE ; GEORGE TUSKA ; JOHN CELARDO ; ERNEST LYNN ; RALPH LANE ; and PAUL GATTUSO, among others.
