Description: Elegant 20” Countess Dagmar parian doll manufactured by C. F. Kling Co of Germany around 1865. Her bisque is very fine with no cracks, repairs, hairlines and very quality facial painting for the shoulder-head. Her shoulder head is five inches tall and five inches across. She has the very rare Pierced Ears with glass earrings. Her cheeks are rosy, with rosebud lips, bright blue eyes. Hair color is a light brownish with many curls upswept into a chignon style with a molded ribbon around the head. Light delicate brush strokes around the temples and curls on the forehead. Her muslin cloth body is original and has some age spots but solid and nice condition. She has her original hand made bosom sewn to the body. Her hands are hand stitched leather as are her brown leather boots which have some toe wear. Her pantilets, chemises and slip are antique. Her medium blue jacket dress is all hand sewn with ribbon trim. A tiny antique pin at the neckline sewn to the dress. She is referenced on page #64 in “ Identifying German Parian Dolls” by Mary Gorham Krombholz. Pictures are part of the description. Will ship USPS ground advantage.
