Description: Elevate your beehive with internal syrup feeders. The elevated space under these feeders allows for bees to get at all the holes and not just the holes that are exposed between frames. Having internal feeders also allows you to keep the syrup warm using the colony heat and also keep robber bees at bay by keeping the food source away from the hive entrance. The hive is a lot more likely to consume warm syrup than cold syrup. Adding 4 half gallon mason jars to you hive is an easy way to give them 2 gallons of syrup with only having to open the hive weekly, vs daily change of hive entrance feeders. If you have medium boxes you can use these feeder rings with quart wide-mouth jars. If you have deep boxes you can use these feeder rings with half gallon wide-mouth jars. A few notes on use: These rings will press on to the mason jar bands/rings. You will also want to add petroleum jelly to the threads of the rings to prevent the sugar syrup from locking the bands onto the jars. This listing included 4 rings for the price.
