Description: From my private collection! - This is a real BEAUTY!Original antique, Circa 1900 to 1905 Uranium UG Custard Glass Covered Butter Dish.Maker: Tarentum Glass Company, Tarentum, Pennsylvania Pattern: Georgia GemShape: Covered Butter DishFeatures: Beautiful (RARE!) blue hand painted flowers; green leaf accenting; & has 3 bottom feet.Size: Bottom plate measures 7 1/2 inches across in diameter & cover is approximately 5 1/4" across bottom edge. Overall height (with cover in place) measures about 6" tall.Condition: EXCELLENT, after 115+ years; NO chips or cracks & floral decor is in INCREDIBLE CONDITION! Custard Glass: as the name implies, is more yellowish than milky & is an opaque glass. Uranium was added as a colourant to make it pale yellow.
