Caithness Scotland Glass Pebble Paperweight Lavender & White Swirl Triangular

Description: The Caithness Scotland Glass "Pebble" Art Glass Paperweight is a vintage hand-blown piece from between 1969 - 1987 hand crafted in Wick, Scotland. Caithness is a renowned brand known for its exquisite art glass creations. This paperweight features a unique lavender color with a hint of pink and a white swirl and speckle pattern through it. It is triangular in shape with smooth, fire polished rounded edges. Weighing 8 oz, it measures 2 1/8" tall, and each side is approximately 2 1/8" wide. The bottom is acid etched with "Caithness Pebble Scotland". Using a loupe there is a tiny curved signature through the word Caithness that I was unable to read. The company name was Caithness Glass PLC until 1987 when they acquired the Wedgwood Glassworks in England. The name was then changed to Caithness Crystal. I was therefore able to date this piece from between 1969 (when they started making paperweights) to 1987 when the name changed. The paperweight is a limited edition item from the Caithness "Pebble" product line of paperweights. The paperweight comes in an original Caithness box, however the label on the bottom does not correspond to this particular piece. Also included are 2 small info pamphlets. This small one-of-a-kind work of art is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, or flea bites. Perfect for a desk paperweight or a beautiful and unique piece to display on a table, vanity, shelf or in a sunny window.
