Description: Card of 44 vintage clothing buttons were probably produced during the early to mid 1900s. These are an assortment of vintage plastic buttons -- I believe most are called coated plastic, or coated celluloid -- and these have a mat finish applied on the surface. They appear to be celluloid, but some may be other types of vintage plastic, as well. Most of the buttons have glass / paste or faux-pearl embellishments / OMEs. I believe all of the jewels are present. This is a really nice assortment, with no two exactly alike. Please refer to the ruler pictured in the image for the exact sizes of the buttons. Overall condition: Solid VG+..... The buttons may have light surface wear or mild soiling, but there are no breaks, chips, or other more serious flaws. The group is in very nice shape and it will display quite well. My mom -- Nancy Moran -- was a longtime member of the National Button Society, plus was active in several local button clubs in New York. She is downsizing, so I am helping her sell some of her collection. But I am not familiar with all the terminology and intricacies of button collecting. I try to use various notes she left with the buttons to describe them to the best of my ability, but understand that any terms I use in describing these items, are not terms I am familiar or experience with.
