Description: . Very Rare Complete Torah Bible Hand Written on Deer Parchment Sought after by collectors a Gorgeous very well preserved, rare, Complete Sefer Torah Scroll (the 5 books of Moses). The 5 Books, Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers & Deuteronomy are all hand written in the ancient original Hebrew language and script on rare deer parchment. The scroll came from Yemen and is approximately 150-200 yrs old it is prized for its very soft deer parchment and beautiful writing. The parchment holds its ink and the letters are dark and clear through out the entire scroll. The individual pieces of parchment sheets are sewn together using a thread called giddin which is made from the leg sinews of a kosher animal. The scroll has a beautiful deep red color. Complete scrolls of this age are seldom seen in synagogues or available due to their age. The scroll considering its age is very well preserved and in very good condition and will stay beautiful with care for centuries to come. I am not listing this scroll as kosher which does not affect the beauty of this scroll.Included with the scroll comes a pair of wooden handles.
