Description: THIS LOT CONTAINS THE 2c VALUE OF THE 1870-1871 IMPERFORATE "CERES" SERIES OF STAMPS FROM FRANCE, SCOTT #39, IN VERY FINE UNUSED CONDITION, AND WITH A CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. It is fresh and bright, has a huge right margin, has partial original gum (approx. 50%), has been previously hinged (with hinge remnant), and, is in very fine unused condition. The 2015 Scott catalog value is $275.00.The certificate provided with this stamp is a permanent record as to the identification and authenticity of this stamp, and applies only to this one stamp. The notation on the certificate states "it is genuine unused, part o.g. with a light crease at the upper right." The crease is not visible from the front of the stamp, and this has been taken into consideration when pricing the stamp. Most stamps of this era have defects of some type.
