This is a hard-to-find longer style, perhaps the finest one that french creek makes ✰ Only available here, because like some other good things they are no longer being made. After years the French Creek Sheep and Wool Company of Elverson PA closed their doors.A nice blend of rugged good looks and refinement. This coat is an American icon, never out of style. Top quality - the attention to details is superb. Features include a warm "split" hood with a middle zipper - easy to do up when you need a hood and when unzipped fans across the shoulders into a beautiful warm collar - a fine functional design. Full zip up front with metal grommet buttons as well as genuine antler toggle buttons, two large shearling lined pockets, intact labels, etc. The exterior is soft and pliable but thick enough to be durable. It's very warm and comfortable. The shearling used in this coat is of excellent quality, this will be a handsome but rugged addition to your wardrobe. All coats fit differently so please follow measurements. Size is tagged a size Large - but we recommend that you measure an actual garment that fits you well and compare the measurements for the best fit. Please follow these measurements and contact us if any questions. All measurements taken on outside of coat, buttoned and laid flat. Measurements are; Chest taken under arms - 55 inches. Shoulders measured across the back from seam to seam - 17 inches. Sleeve from shoulder seam to sleeve end - 28 inches. ( measured with a cuff) - sleeves can be turned up to create a cuff (or shorter sleeve) as desired. Sleeve - from collar seam at neck to sleeve end - 33.5 inches ( measured with a cuff) - sleeves can be turned up to create a cuff (or shorter sleeve) as desired. Length taken from top to bottom of coat - 44.5 inches. Bottom edge measured all the way around - 58 inches. Condition is excellent inside and out. There are no holes, tears or significant wear. Missing one of the metal grommets but it isn't a problem for the coat also zips and has toggle buttons and could easily be repaired should you choose. A few light spots and rub marks as with most vintage items but nothing significant. You'll likely find it clean and wearable as is, but as with all pre-owned items we recommend cleaning it.
