French 1965 M51 M1 Army Military Helmet Liner - Mobile Gendarmerie, dark blue

Up for grabs - right here, right now, right away - is an French M51/Modele 51 liner (which is based on the iconic American M1 helmet). Further details are listed below:Details: This liner is from the Mobile Gendarmerie, which is (basically) the riot control force in France. Without further adieu, here are all of the details:IN GENERAL: I've had this liner for awhile, but I don't have a shell for it. I have another liner that's nearly identical with a matching shell, so if you want to see what it looks like when complete, I can send you pics. [THAT one's not for sale... but everything does have a price, after all.] LINER SPECIFICS: This one is a dark blue plastic version of the '65' model and is in REALLY good overall condition. There's a stamp in the crown which reads "P.N. Pont De Buis 1965 R". The leather on the headband is super-duper nice, however the liner is missing the leather chin strap. It's in USED condition, but it's really not too bad at all. It's in better shape than the other one I have, but I didn't want to break up the pair. I just figured that I would get a shell for this one SOMEDAY, but now it's time for someone else to make it complete again. IN CONCLUSION: It's in good shape and there's nothing broken (like the webbing, plastic, or headband). There are no cracks, just a few scratches. It's 'been there', so please look carefully at all of the photos before you even THINK about buying - I don't do refunds.NOTE: I usually have a number of other items listed as well.
