Goebel M.I. Hummel # 99 "Eventide" Full Bee Mark TMK-2

Description: Goebel M.I. Hummel # 99 "Eventide" - 5" Tall (Larger than Catalog Lists) ~ Full Bee Mark (TMK-2) - Early Version - Stamped "Germany" - Vibrant Glossy Colors - Closed Edition. HUM 99 Eventide - TMK-2 (Early Version) Height 5" Records indicate that this hummel was produced by a combination of modelers in 1938. Almost identical to Hummel #28, "Wayside Devotion", but without the shrine. There are some variations between older and newer models, including the placement of the lambs/sheep. The catalog lists the height ranging from 4.25"-5" tall. The hummel in this listing is at the top of the range, standing at 5" high. This figurine is marked with a "C" stamp on the bottom of the base. I have a few other hummels with this stamp. I believe it to be a Master Painter mark. (Early Version) Since the hummel was designed by a collaboration of artists, I believe the "C" may stand for "combination" of artists. The colors are vibrant and glossy. See below for the specifications/variations on this hummel: Has "" Full Bee Mark (TMK-2) stamped in Blue on underside of base. Stamped "Germany" in black on underside of base. Standing at 5" high, it stands at the highest range of height listed in the catalogs. (4.25"-5") Hummel Number "99" (Solid Number) and Factory Control Number "38" incised on underside of base. "M.I. Hummel" signature is incised on rear side of base. "C" stamped/or hand signed (difficult to distinguish) in faded black on underside of base, presumably by Master Painter/Combination of modelers. Colors are Vibrant and Glossy. An early version that looks much newer than it is. Closed Edition. Hummel is in Excellent condition for it's age. No Touch Ups! No Repairs! No Chips! There are two lines of crazing on the base, no other crazing marks observed elsewhere. View final two pictures, one with and one without light and magnification. It may have some dust/dirt from sitting in the China Cabinet for several decades. I certainly did not want to damage it inadvertently by cleaning it.
