Description: I have for sale a Vintage Hallicrafters Model S-38C Shortwave Ham Radio Receiver not fully tested as is for restoration or parts....**Please Note: Does power up and I did test with long wire antenna. I did receive some stations on the Shortwave Bands with fair audio out of the enclosed speaker. The audio is fair at best at lower volume Thin distored when turned too high.The speaker is old and is what it is The volume does not get too high when turned up could be louder. Still I was able to pick up several stations on some of the Shortwave bands mostly on Band-3 at night on 40 meter ham CW. I did hear SSB and copy CW on 40 meters . No further testing performed As Is works to some extent.....Please assume this radio may need Repair or for Parts as is..*The bottom cover was replaced not stock. Also, no back cover.and looks to fit fine with similr material The handle is nice and secure. The cosmetic condition is fair.The radio dials and knobs appear to move as they should. There may are imperfections or scratches,scuffs,marks,wear and dings not perfect overall in clean condition. Comes complete with tubes and AC power cord....**Please Note: I am selling this Hallicrafters Model S-38C Shortwave Ham Radio Receiver for Parts or Not working as is with no guarantee not fully tested.
