Creating the Core The process starts with the creation of a rough core, usually made from clay. This core is the base structure of the object being sculpted and gives it shape. The clay core is often mixed with rice husk or other natural binding materials to strengthen it.2. Wax Modeling After the core dries, a layer of beeswax or paraffin wax is applied over it.
