Description: HARMAN KARDON 330BVintage 1974 AM/FM Stereo ReceiverMade in Japan In General Terms: Good used condition, lite service conducted, LED's installed, tested & working. Digging In: I almost always swap out caps and transistors on these "old timers", but not this guy. Super clean from the get-go, sounded like it should from the moment I plugged it in. It had a few dial lights out so they were replaced with warm white LED's. Two of the function lights were out (FM & Stereo beacon) so they were also replaced with LED's. Everything was so clean I didn't even have to clean the switches or pots, which is unusual. FM is pulling in stations better than most receivers I've had on the bench and did not need alignment, thankfully. All functions tested and working, both sets of speaker outs and headphones as well. The case and faceplate have some age scars and signs of wear but nothing glaring or significant. This is an honest little receiver, untouched for the most part and performing well. Please note, this is a super vintage receiver and can fail on it's own at any time. It has not been rebuilt, but you could recap it, and it would sound like it, for better or worse. You can also get in there and drench everything in deoxit, but why? It WILL make a nice thump sound when you power it up or engage the speakers, which is totally normal for units of this configuration. Also, I'm not a professional technician, just and avid enthusiast selling vintage gear on eBay. Bottom line, reach out with questions before you buy, I'm quick with responses and want you to feel comfortable with your purchase. The unit will be carefully packed for transit.
