Description: "Italy Through The Stereoscope" • Underwood and Underwood This set of 100 stereoscope views of Italian life and landmarks is housed in a cloth-covered cardboard box made to resemble two volumes when placed vertically on a bookshelf. I did count them and put them in order to make sure the set included cards 001-100. If there was any insert included it is no longer with the set. I wasn't able to find a date of manufacture, however there are copyright dates on each of the stereoscope cards, and the latest I found was 1908. I believe this set was available between 1908 and 1912. The set is in remarkable condition considering its age. The fabric covering of the box has some staining or discoloration on one side. The box itself is in sound condition. The stereoscope cards are in very good condition with very little wear.
