Description: J. Unertl 14x Telescopic Scope. serial 42213. This 14x target scope measures 25" overall in length with a 1” tube and fine crosshair reticle. Glass could use a cleaning but still nice and sharp. Not sure why they had the black resin on the outside of the scope. Should clean up nice. The metal surfaces retain about 95% original blue with light handling marks, minor scratches, and some black residue on the ocular adjustment ring as well as on the underside of the objective bell. The scope is marked “J. UNERTL / OPT CO. / 42213” on the left rear side of the tube with a “14” on the top ocular adjustment ring. Included are a set of aluminum standard micrometer bases and a recoil spring. A very fine vintage Unertl optic. [Russell S. Gilmore Collection]
