Description: This is a London Records Collectors Edition, featuring John Mayall's legendary Blues Breakers with Eric Clapton on guitar exclusively. Clapton had left The Yardbirds seeking a pure blues setting to hone his guitar skills, and he found it. Although this is a1977 release the music is from the mid 1960s, prior to Clapton forming Cream in 1966. Other musicians include the great John Mayall, John McVie on bass, soon to form Fleetwood Mac, and Hughie Flint on drums. Horns are handled by Alan Skidmore, John Almond and Dennis Healey. An excellent album of blues, captured in the moment as Clapton developed his remarkable talents as an electric blues guitarist without peer.
