Description: Antique Navajo Storm Pattern Rug. Circa 1910 - 1920. Very good to excellent overall condition. This is a large weaving by Navajo standards measuring 68" x 110". The background color is grey with subtle shade variations, as seen in older Navajo rugs. The other colors are cream, red, and dark brown. There are lazy lines throughout the rug which consists of a very tight smooth weave. The rug has a soft feel and drapes nicely. The selvege edges are tight with minor tuft sprouting. Minor issues include a couple of light spots in the cream field that I haven't attempted to clean. There is a small area in the upper right corner ( main photo ) that the moths have nipped at. I've enjoyed this rug hanging on my great room wall for 15 years.
