Description: Large vintage antique-French-reproduction doll A big doll, at 26" tall, she is dressed mostly in black, as if to be a Victorian-style "mourning" doll; she has a maker's mark on the back of her shoulder-plate, but I don't recognize the symbols; she has a cloth body and bisque/porcelain shoulder-head and lower limbs Some of her undergarments look antique; her dress is vintage and it's too small for her and doesn't close all the way in back; her wool and velvet coat looks pretty old to me and may be antique; her boots and socks are vintage, and her blonde wig hair features long ringlet curls and she has a black felt hat; she has a glued-on Styrofoam pate, and her wig is pinned on, so it could easily be replaced if the buyer wants to do that; the wig could use some attention as it has fly-aways, but the hair is still shiny Due to the delicacy of her clothing, I did not undress her; she shows expected age wear (some fabric fading to clothing, some wear to boots & socks, lint on coat and hat, possible loose threads, possible body cloth wear or spots, etc.) but I saw no breaks to the bisque parts and she has no odd storage odors; she has a few facial specks (I have not attempted to clean her for fear of doing damage and I will leave that up to the buyer), but overall she presents well as a display doll; her dress, though too small in the back, covers her in the front when she's seated on display--please see all photos for the best description of condition and appearance, as she is sold "as is" This doll, to me, is very striking in appearance, with her long, blonde curly hair, beautiful eyes and black, somber outfit As she is tall, she requires a large box to ship, and she ships quickly, very carefully packed A sweet addition to your collection of antique & vintage dolls and displays Thanks for viewing!
