Late Korea 1952 US Marine Corps USMC M1910 Canteen Cover & M1942 Steel Cup

Description: This Korean War / Early Vietnam Era 1952 US Marine Corps USMC M1910 Aluminum Canteen Cover & M1942 Canteen Cup is in good condition overall but each piece does show expected signs of age, service and storage. The canteen cover is clearly ink stamped by the manufacturer (COLLETTE MFG. CO.) and production appears to have been carried out in 1952. There is what appears to be a name of a former owner written in faded ink just below the belt hook attachment. No rips, tears or holes can be found but areas of staining and fading are present. All hardware is intact, clean and functional. The interior felt wool lining is strong and appears to be in good condition. This cover has a side-seam that is usually associated with M1942 models but is often referred to as an M1910 when marked by the US Marines. The M1942 cup is clearly marked on it's handle "U. S. S.S. MFG DIV. 1953." All hardware is clean and functions as you would expect however a mild bend can be detected in the handle, it does not hamper usage and has been left exactly as found.
