Description: Made with lots of love. This is a genuine, antique dresser with locking drawers & a matching, skeleton key. All locks are fully functional. This dresser has been newly restored & refinished in real, rusted, copper patina & rusted iron. The dresser has ornate, wood carved detailing throughout, curved drawer faces & a curved tabletop. The drawers all have their original, fully functioning, antique locks. These locks are mortise locks, meaning they are fully set into the solid wood, drawer faces. The dresser comes with a matching, skeleton key. This dresser is a genuine antique so one of the bottom, cabinet doors does tend to stick a little when opening or closing it. Nothing extreme, you just have to pull a little harder on the one to get it open. This antique dresser is weathered to perfection, with tons of understated detailing. This is a very unique, one of a kind piece, done with lots of time & tons of attention to detail. ~Measurements~ Dresser top - 46” x 22.25” Dresser height - 36.75” Top drawer faces - 18.75” x 5” Lower drawer face - 36” x 8” Cabinet door faces - 17” x 14.5” Inside cabinet area - 42” x 18.5” Inside cabinet area height - 15.5” Skeleton key - 2.5” long ~Refinishing Process~ The dresser has been sanded down, stained & then painted with antique copper & iron, oxidizing paints. A rust accelerator has then been applied to the painted portions of the dresser. The rust accelerator reacts to the metal, copper & iron particles in the paint creating an actual patina, rust finish on the wood. The dresser is not painted with a rusted look to it. There was no green paint used on the exterior of this dresser. The colors were achieved through the paint’s oxidizing process. The finish is actual, patina, rusted copper & real, rusted iron. The entire dresser has been sealed with a final, clear coat from front to back, top to bottom, inside & out, for added durability. The dresser has all of its original, antique hardware. The drawer pulls have been done in a rusted, iron finish to match the dresser frame. The dresser’s dovetailed, drawer sides & insides of the cabinet doors have been accented with distressed, floral, paisley lace detailing. (Only visible when drawers are pulled out or cabinet doors are fully open.) The inside of the dresser drawers & the inside of the cabinet area have been painted in a dark, rusted copper hue & have also been sealed with a final, clear coat. The back of the dresser frame has been done with the same, oxidized iron finish as the front & sides. Placed against a wall or as a stand alone piece in the middle of the room, this dresser looks great from any angle. Even the hinges on the inside of the cabinet doors have been done in an oxidized, rusted iron finish to match the outside of the dresser frame. ~ Shipping ~ Shipping for this piece is free of charge, anywhere within the Continental United States.
