Description: Little Leather Library books from the 1920's - Redcroft Edition. Miniature antique literary classics! Each book measures about 4" X 3 ΒΌ". Fun to decorate with! Assorted titles from well known authors, mostly from the late 1800s and early 1900s. Each book is in at least good condition, they are delicate but each book is readable with bindings intact. Some books may have a loose page or two, small tears, covers curling around the edges, and other minor defects or signs of wear. They are mostly a faded greenish brown color with hints of copper or turquoise. There are just over 100 literary classics published by the Little Leather Library Corporation between 1916 and 1923. They were originally sold through department stores, bookstores, drugstores, and by mail. As leather prices rose, primarily due to the demand for leather during World War I, the publishers switched to these embossed leatherette covers. K
